The Blank Gloss songs Weedless Hook" and "The Replacement Wheel" are featured on the Pop Ambient 2024 compilation. "Weedless Hook" is a gentle, aqueous piece filled with lush guitar, synthesizer swells, and a yearning piano refrain while "The Replacement Wheel" is is built around a warm guitar phrase and delay-soaked synthesizer notes. Both display some of the most pleasant aspects of Blank Gloss. 

Cornered

Cornered is an album that oscillates between lush beauty and spare melancholy. It follows from their 2021 debut for Kompakt, Melt, an album that saw them aligned, loosely, with the cosmic pastorale of the ‘ambient Americana’ movement. Cornered feels like a significant step forward, though – by peeling back the layers of their music, they’ve revealed both its restful core and its solemn gravitas. It is unendingly lovely, but with something disquieting at its centre.

"Coiling" is a slow-building, bright, airy piece driven by guitar and synthesizer while "Anticlimbers" is a more minimal, yearning type of ambient drift. Together they display two different but complimentary sides of Blank Gloss.
